LeisureTech Electronics is pleased to announce the appointment of QualiFi Pty Ltd as the Australian distributor for the Forté Electronics range of products. This includes the A-BUS multi-room audio system, the well-known “Low Loss” speaker cable, and the Forté Infrared range.Andrew Goldfinch, Managing Director of LeisureTech, stated,
“It is time to make some changes in the company to better suit the market and allow our team to devote more energy to developing our own technology.
LeisureTech will continue to manufacture and develop its Forté product range, as well as support our ongoing OEM and A-BUS licensing business. We are looking forward to working with QualiFi in the Australian market. They will provide improved representation throughout the country to meet the growing demand for A-BUS in both existing and emerging markets.”
Michael Henriksen, Managing Director of QualiFi, added,
“We have a long association with A-BUS through our partnership with Jamo. Forté A-BUS offers a much more comprehensive range of products, including their popular A-BUS/Direct speakers and Bluetooth capability, which truly sets A-BUS apart.”
Andrew continued,
“Despite difficult market conditions, A-BUS Cat5 technology sales have been on the rise over the last two years worldwide. We attribute this growth to changes in technology.
A-BUS simplicity and cost-effectiveness work very well with new IP-based music sources controlled via iPads and other mobile devices, replacing the need for expensive control systems in traditional multi-room audio setups.

A-BUS: Your Audio Partner
Solutions for the Generational Change of Music DeliveryAlexandria, NSW, Australia — 15 April 2013
LeisureTech Electronics, inventors of A-BUS®, the popular patented and licensed multi-room audio technology, announces their A-BUS: Your Audio Partner marketing campaign. The campaign will highlight the changes occurring in the custom audio market and how their patented A-BUS Cat5 technology is more relevant than ever. Their system technology is evolving and will continue to be developed for today’s and tomorrow’s multi-room audio market by A-BUS partner brands.
Andrew Goldfinch, Managing Director of LeisureTech, states,
“The custom audio industry is undergoing a generational change. System control and music delivery have become less expensive and easier to access. This includes streaming content, wired/wireless solutions, and smartphone/PAD control products, opening up new opportunities for the consumer to enjoy whole-house audio.”
Scott Sylvester, LeisureTech U.S. Operations Manager, adds,
“In the U.S., internet content is provided within the home via reliable Cat5 wiring. A-BUS licensed audio and intercom solutions work on standard Cat5 wiring, are cost-effective, and are simple to install and operate. A-BUS offers unique choices to integrators who are increasingly pressured to deliver solutions with lower labor costs and modular flexibility.”
Andrew Goldfinch further explains,
“Over the years, A-BUS has built up a following of integrators who have been able to install good-sounding solutions for their clients with high reliability and reduced after-sale support, helping every A-BUS system be a profitable installation. Now, with more modern and convenient technology available, A-BUS can offer more system control and easier music streaming with the same simplicity they have always enjoyed. Additionally, homes wired with A-BUS will be able to upgrade to the latest technologies, including wireless options.”

Simplicity
A-BUS takes the confusion out of whole-house audio by simplifying all aspects — system design, installation, and consumer operation — while still providing high-quality audio, flexibility to suit most requirements, and high reliability.
One Cable
The patented A-BUS technology provides actual power up the line for amplification, control, and wireless accessories. It simplifies installation and eliminates the need for long runs of expensive speaker cable and the resulting signal losses.
Local Source
In-room amplification allows access to local sources and control in individual rooms — a unique A-BUS feature. Now, with Bluetooth wireless connectivity, individual rooms can access music directly from smartphones and other devices.
A-BUS Direct
With amplification mounted on the speaker, a single Cat5 cable from the hub to the active speaker is all that is required, with control via an A-BUS remote, a tablet, or a smartphone.
Power Access
A-BUS provides power to the amplified room unit via the Cat5 cable from the hub. This eliminates the need for a local power supply or access to a nearby power socket. It can also provide power in the room for low-current devices such as Bluetooth modules and similar accessories.
Flexible Format
Not limited to the traditional multi-room 4×4 format, A-BUS allows solutions to start with just one or two rooms — ideal for the growing MDU market — with the flexibility to expand up to 50 rooms, single-source or multi-source, all using the standard Cat5 wiring pattern.

Sydney, NSW, AUSTRALIA, Wednesday, 25 September 2013 — LeisureTech announces the introduction of Bluetooth technology to A-BUS multi-room audio.

Four A-BUS partners, Channel Vision, Eaton, Forté, and Russound, have introduced Bluetooth LIM (Local Input Module) to their product ranges. Bluetooth is a natural partner for A-BUS.
The amplifiers are located in each room unit, either as a keypad or incorporated in the speakers, instead of being centrally located as in traditional MRA systems. This unique feature allows A-BUS to provide a local source input in each room.
Now, with the high mobility of music libraries typically streaming from or stored on smartphones or tablets, an A-BUS LIM allows homeowners and their families to play their music content wirelessly in the room or area of their choice.
Andrew Goldfinch, inventor of A-BUS CAT5 technology, states, “The new Bluetooth LIM demonstrates how well the A-BUS format fits with new technologies. Music is now mobile; it is in everyone’s pocket. A local input is likely to become just as important as multi-source capability around the home. We also have a product that continues to demonstrate the elegant simplicity of A-BUS. The Bluetooth receiver receives its power from the CAT5 cable, eliminating the need to access power locally and the mess that ancillary products often produce. The LIM is simply spliced into the CAT5 line between the hub and the room unit. To operate is just as simple. When paired, the Bluetooth LIM automatically overrides the audio source from the central hub.”

A-BUS Bluetooth, a Big Success at CEDIA Denver
For Immediate Release

The announcement of the new Bluetooth LIM (Local Input Module) by four A-BUS partners Channel Vision, Eaton, Forté, and Russound generated significant interest in Denver.Andrew Goldfinch, President of LeisureTech Electronics, says, “On the surface the Bluetooth LIM is a simple A-BUS component; however, when integrators in Denver had an opportunity to see how it fits in with today’s market and new technologies, they saw it as a market changer.”

With music now being so accessible, and music libraries stored in smartphones and tablets, local source capability is going to become a “must-have” feature in MRA systems of the future, in much the same way multi-source access was a decade ago. Regrettably, for most systems with centralized amplification, this feature is not easy to incorporate. However, for A-BUS, it is very simple.
A-BUS has always offered a hard-wired local input module (RCA LIM), which has been used to provide a local source such as a TV, computer, or gaming device in a bedroom or any desired room. Now, A-BUS’s Bluetooth LIM provides a wireless option that connects directly to your personal music library or streaming device.
Another A-BUS advantage that makes the Bluetooth LIM so special is the availability of power down the line, which supplies power to the amplified device, either a keypad or speaker. This eliminates the need to provide a messy local power source for the Bluetooth receiver. The power for the Bluetooth LIM and/or the RCA LIM is available anywhere in the Cat5 wiring.
The time to install the A-BUS Bluetooth LIM is minimal and economical. It is simply spliced into the Cat5 line between the hub and the amplified device. And because of the A-BUS product standard, it can be retrofitted into any A-BUS system regardless of age or brand. It is A-BUS simple.
