General Description
The Cool-it II and Cool-shelf are related Active Thermal Management equipment coolers. They are designed to boost existing (but insufficient) ventilation for one audio or video component. Both are installed by placing them above the overheated equipment, and both blow fresh air down into the amplifier, receiver, etc., reducing internal temperature.
Not for use in sealed enclosures; best suited for areas with restricted (but not zero) ventilation.
The Cool-shelf additionally forms a shelf onto which a heat-sensitive item, such as a DVD player, can be placed. (Weight limit: 20 lbs.)
